8 game worlds so unique, their sequel don’t need a familiar face

GamesRadar - Some franchises have such big personalities at the center that it’s basically impossible to imagine a new entry without someone like Link, Master Chief, or Lara Croft taking center stage. But there’s the occasional game that does such a fantastic job at world building that it’s easy to imagine what the setting was like before and after the good guy saves the day. (Culture)

Enslaved would very much need returning characters because its based on Journey to the West.
