Gamer Chatter - Zero Escape: Virtue's last Reward Review

Virtue’s Last Reward is the sequel to the hit Nintendo DS game 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, developed by Chunsoft. The game combines the play styles of a classic choose your own adventure book and a fiendish “Saw” like puzzle game. (3DS, PS Vita, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward) 9/10

Only if you played 999, playing the sequel first is the dumbest thing you could do (especially in a visual novel)

yeah, I almost played this without playing 999, that would have really lessen the experience.

999 and this are like two of my favourite games ever. They're maybe not as smart as they think they are, but they're still absolutely gripping, and even though the narrative is so dense and convoluted, you really care about the characters - it's not just childish narrative and concept masturbation like Inception.

Seriously, too much good things to say about this game and it's prequel (both of which have things the other doesn't and are therefore impossible to be chosen as a favourite over the other, just play them in order).

Oh man, since I just got it a few weeks ago, the game is very engaging. Already topping in 10 hours and I still havent finished everything yet. Really is a shame i didnt get to play this sooner.
