Titanfall for Xbox One Priced 10€ Above Xbox 360 on European Origin Store and Other Oddities

Next generation pricing already looks quite messy, but with Titanfall it’s even a bit messier than the usual, with Origin offering the game at a different price point between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One versions of the game, at least in Europe. (TitanFall, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

malokevi  +   666d ago
Agreed. For this game, I'll fork it over.

So what? I guess people think the Xb1 version is $70?
Protagonist  +   664d ago
lol ;))))
Gridloc  +   666d ago
I wonder if this is just Activision or if its $10 more for the power of the cloud(dedicated servers)?
Unicron  +   666d ago
But I heard the 360 version uses "teh powah of teh clowd" too!

The magic of the cloud.

GameCents  +   666d ago
Except that EA is publishing this, not Activision.
GameCents  +   666d ago
Somebody disagrees, of course.
Gridloc  +   666d ago
My bad. I forgot EA even existed...

what the hell is IVA, for sure it's not VAT
MasterCornholio  +   665d ago
IVA means Impuesto Valor Añadido

Which in english translates to

Value Added Tax which is the same as VAT.

Edit: Live is right IVA is for Spain.

PS: I live in Spain so i know how taxes work here.

but the numbers do not make sense, knowing VAT in Spain is 21%

the base price is 59.99 USD, convert that in Euros and you get 46.63 Euros, add 21% VAT and you get 56.42 Euro (including VAT)

nowhere near those listings of 69.90 Euros (VAT included), nor even close to the 59.90 (VAT included)

IVA is the Spanish equivalent of VAT.
zme-ul  +   666d ago
VAT in Spain is 21%, doesn't even comes close to the price listed
FrigidDARKNESS  +   666d ago
It's no big deal.
deadfrag  +   666d ago
Well i actually will not be surprise if certain games for the Xboxone will get higher prices and Microsoft and the most common publishers that tend to to this things like EA and Activision come and state that because of the Power of the cloud and the private M$ servers they had to up the game prices even more.

Micro has already stated first party games will remain at 60 bucks.

Dont waste your time.

You shall be disagreed for stating facts. Never interject fact into the mighty torrent of fanboy frenzied comments.

All the prices for next gen games are still placeholders. Here in Portugal there's an online store that is already making pre orders for the ps4 and all the games are priced at 1 euro.
Abriael  +   666d ago
Origin prices are not placeholders, when you preorder a game there you immediately pay full price.
barinho  +   666d ago
I didn´t know that.Maybe they'll return the difference then if the game turns out to be cheaper.I don't believe next gen games will be more expensive, they are already overpriced as it is.
Dlacy13g  +   666d ago
On Amazon in the US all sku's are $59.99 across all for pre-order.
airgangstarr  +   666d ago
60 bucks is too much for a game with no single player should be like 40
Funky Town_TX  +   666d ago
What about a single player only game?
torchic  +   666d ago
this is actually a fair point.

in fact you probably get more replay value from multiplayer than singleplayer

still think multiplayer only games should be cheaper though

But we all know MP-only games will be unfinished 8-map, 3 mode affairs with tons of $20 dlc packs planned immediately after release.
Dlacy13g  +   666d ago
I don't agree ...if the MP only side of the game is robust and well supported and as promised there are single player elements mixed into the game... I am fine with $60. Destiny is an always connected MP experience with SP elements/story woven into the experience ...and I am betting it will be $60 too. Again...if its robust enough, and supported in a variety of maps and ships with much more than a normal combo SP / MP game would have (in terms of MP maps) then... again...no issue.
Livewiire  +   666d ago
All next Gen games are $100 AU here in Australia.Which is about 70 Euros or $91US. Way more than anywhere.Cheaper to buy from UK and ship it to Australia.
torchic  +   666d ago
we pay €70 in Europe...
