Xbox One Is Not Becoming a Great Ad for the PS4 "Today Techradar posted an article referencing Microsoft executives confirming advertising data with regards to the Kinect 2.0 for the Xbox One. The author going on to claim how the Xbox One is becoming an ad for the PS4. Except in his quotes, and confirmation the author excludes a statement by Microsoft's ad team about the nature of the platform. With some research from we debunk the Techradar article. I think your article is less accurate than the techradar article.

Microsoft has said they plan to use eye tacking to target ads. True they might have settings for Kinect but I doubt turn off all ads will be one of them.

Also the light bar on PS4 changes color to indicate the player number 1-4. And as far as battery drain a simple LED or two are in no way likely to cause any noticeable drain on on the controller. An LED can run non-stop for more than a year on a simple watch battery

You should read the Vg24/7 article. Techradar left out some quite serious information on Microsoft's point about advertising, and the Kinect 2.0. After reading the article you may not agree with their accuracy on the subject. I appreciate you taking the time to read my article nonetheless. As for the LED battery when it comes to the controllers. You have to take into account the length, and time of play. If you believe there will be no noticeable difference, then I'm sure you don't know how controllers get drained from constant usage. Especially comparing it to watches; which most would agree is not as intensive on battery like a game controller is.

I am not sure you know how LEDs work. They don't require a lot of power to work. You will not see a battery life problem on the DS4 because of a couple of LED lights making the light bar. It's a non issue

I'm sure Sony when developing the DS4 they took into account the power consumption. So it would only be logical that they designed a battery for the power consuption thats needed. People are acting like the are using the same battery that's in the DS3 and adding more thing to it. In that case yeah it would drain the battery much faster. Come on people use your heads a little.

I think Sony can be taken at their word more than MS. That while Sony can and have not been forthcoming on some things, like rumble being a thing of the past when they in court over it, that MS will do something which only benefit them saying that its a good thing for everyone. Like how Kinect is more for ads than playing games.

I would like to see what articles have been proven to be misinformation by journalists to smear the xbox one. I can't just believe that someone with nothing to gain from it did that based soley on the article authors assertions that this is so. Seems a little paranoid to me
