The game you are playing a year down the line will have evolved a lot, says Evolution.

I don't like this. Releasing incomplete games to then patch them up through software updates is not a good practice.

Did you read the article?

The interview that they had with the DriveClub designer said nothing about patches releasing, the website is just making that assumption

"This is actually a question that comes up quite a bit," said Evolution in an interview featuring Paul Rustchynsky, Alex Perkins and Col Rodgers. "Obviously, what we're currently focussed on is getting the game perfect and building a community around it first, but if there is a call for weather effects, nothing is currently off the cards at this point."

"DriveClub may not launch with weather effects, ****but this doesn't mean such a feature won't be added to the title post release, Evolution told Playstationer.net at E3 last month****"

As you can see above the author is just putting words into Evolutions mouths, they didn't say anything about this happening, flamebait IMO

Well said iGAM3R-VIII. Well said.

MysticStrummer1112d ago

Exactly how is that different from patching?

iGAM3R-VIII1112d ago

@above They didn't even say anything about patching so the title should say may not will because they didnt state anything official. They can also put it in before the game releases, we dont know and nothing is official so idk what you are on about

What? What do you think adding post release is called?

This is a game that will be evolving over time. More like a racing MMO than a standalone racing title.

Me-Time1112d ago (Edited 1112d ago )

First of all, iGAM3R-VIII, you're wrong. Anything added post-release whether it's something simple to fix a minor bug or alter something is a patch or an update. Secondly, wishingW3L, pipe down. It's not like they're holding features or content back so that they can "sell" it to us for free.

iGAM3R-VIII1112d ago

Did I say anything about patches. no eread my comment, I said they didn't say that this feature would be in the game after release so we don't know

HammadTheBeast1111d ago

Could be like expansions for PC games. Plenty of games have free updates.

HammadTheBeast1111d ago

Just pointing out, GT5 had night tracks patched in, those worked out great.

How can you claim that what is said in that quote is different from patching weather in later?

iGAM3R-VIII1112d ago

MysticStrummer1112d ago

Well I would have been upgrading quickly if I liked the game enough but I guess I'll be playing the PS+ version until they finish the game.

Rusty5151112d ago (Edited 1112d ago )

Guess I'll just buy the game a year down the "road". Unless it "turns" out differently, I'm not "racing" to game"stop" to buy it. If you get my "drift".

nick3091112d ago

Get the plus version enjoy most of it then buy it when its getting patched
