Vita with 3 games on there. Not bad, compared to what was going on at the beginning of the year. Not fantastic, but not bad either.

And the immortal PSP slips one in as well, heh.

These days it sells 300-400 units a week, so maybe 1600 for the month of June.

It always surprises me how popular handhelds are over there. I guess its because most japanese developers focus more on handheld games than consoles.
PSjesus  +   388d ago
Japanese love RPG games and since DS and PSP days JRPG
are developed more for handheld it's cheaper to develop and people can level up their characters on the road,as for me i find leveling up in home consoles is boring
Dj7FairyTail  +   388d ago
That because people in Japan are always walking everywhere.
fsfsxii  +   388d ago
How do you walk and play at the same time??
Dj7FairyTail  +   388d ago
uh walk and play your handheld just as your using a phone duh.
That why handheld and mobile devices sell in Japan because they take trains, buses, and walk to places.

Go vita. You made it to the top 5. Now do that in the west lol. Price drop+GTA V spinoff=Sales in NA/EU.
Realplaya  +   388d ago
If the game pad was Portable I wonder if it would sale more Wii U units in Japan?
Hicken  +   387d ago
If you could use it like Vita+PS4? Likely.... well, maybe. The controller might be a bit big to take with you.
jc48573  +   388d ago
I'm still surprised Last of Us made it to the top.
