Five Things CEO Don Mattrick Can Do To Turn Zynga Around

Forbes - Yesterday, Don Mattrick shocked many when it was revealed he was leaving his lofty position at Microsoft to take over the CEO job at Zynga. Reports are Mattrick made the move because his role wasn't going to be expanding enough at Microsoft, while Zynga would give him the much coveted CEO spot. Well, much coveted for most companies anyway. (Don Mattrick, Industry, Zynga)

He turned the gaming division at Microsoft from a money bleeder to a money maker. That is no small feat.

So long Don, thanx for Kinect (not really) and your focus on entertainment rather than games (again, no).

It really sucks that gaming on its own just doesn't cut it anymore unless you're Nintendo and even they are struggling with the Wii U.
I mean I'm happy the 360 was a financial success for MS because it means more games and consoles but that success came at a steep price for me as a gamer.

Anyway, back on topic. The man may not be the most popular gaming exec around, he is however good at righting financial wrongs. Good luck Don.
