11-X, WEP, Midway, CyberPlayGround, FACE – the rejected names for Microsoft’s first console

EDGE has made public a list of rejected names for Microsoft’s first console, which included names like WEP, Midway, and AIO (All In One). Does that sound familiar? That’s the tagline Microsoft has been using for Xbox One. (Microsoft, Xbox)

Cyber Playground and Odyssey of the Mind, whoh, how different things might have been with that kind of genius naming!

Oh dear, Xbox was by far the best name of the bunch. I can't believe some of the names in the article were considered, anyone would think that Microsoft was run by a bunch of out-of-touch, clueless, squares in suits with personality by-passes or something. Oh wait a moment......

I think Xbone is just as bad as all of them. I think it should have been named Xbox Infinity. At least I will be naming my Xbox One Infinity.

"Microsoft Bunduss" would make so much success here in Brazil ("bunda" is a slang for buttocks in portuguese).
