cannot wait for the Amnesia follow-up.

A good friend of mine has been hyping the crap out of the new Amnesia, and is also pretty frustrated at all of the delays. Along with said friend, I've heard quite a few people are anticipating it.

Haven't played the first one for myself, but I've heard it was an amazingly well made experience.

I loved the first one, very immersive and actually scared me more times than one. There are hilarious reaction compilation videos if you want to see people $hitting their pants over the first game.. ;)

A bit off topic but still about survival horror game. I saw some sale on my local store for Siren - Blood Curse and RE 6. I want to buy both, but i need to save some dough for next month (Dragon Crown and Tales of Xillia). So guys, i need some reccomendation:

Siren - Blood Curse or RE 6? Who's worth the money?

OT. I'm happy that horror genre is kickin and alive again ^^ . Even games from my country (Dreadout) is on the list. I'm very proud it got some recognition by people outside my country ^^

Siren is kind of a stealthy horror game and much much scarier than RE6, also a lot harder to finish in my opinion. RE6 though is an all out action game with monsters in it (personally hated the game not just because it wasn't scary but because of the controls etc) but you might like it and you can get some reply value out of it with co-op.

Wups, sorry i don't see your reply when i posted my reply to Hoika. Hm...i choose to use stealth in TloU because i felt more tension with stealth. Okay than, looks like i will buy Siren over RE 6. Thx for the info mate. Bubs up ^^

Hey it's no problem :)
An yeah I pretty much only said what Hoika was saying. If you want scares go for Siren but if you want replayability I would go for RE6.
Hoika  +   948d ago
If you want a very creepy experience I would go for Siren: Blood Curse. I personally think it's one of the best horror games of this console gen.

If you love the Resident Evil universe and its characters Resident Evil 6 is a good pick too. But not nearly as creepy...

How much time do you take to finish Siren: Blood Curse? And after you beat it, are there any replay value to play it again? I mean like collectibles, unlocked gallery, or something like that. The same question for RE 6 too (sorry if i threw a lot of question >.< ).
Hoika  +   948d ago
I don't know how long the game takes. I would say about 12 hours (it has 12 episodes). It does have multiple endings and collectibles but no trophies. But Like Harrymason said too, it's mutch more scary than RE6
Inception  +   948d ago
Siren had multiple endings?! Holy nely! Okay than, that's seal the deal for me. Siren Blood Curse here i come. And thanks for your info. Bubs up too ^^

RE6 was not a very good experience, Revelations is a much more "core" Resident Evil style game. Ever since RE4, Capcom has started drifting away from horror and leaning more towards action..

Revelations (originally on the 3DS) makes up for that in spades as it re-introduces tight areas, and good old fashioned Resident Evil fun.

Played the dreadout demo, very badly optimised for pc(get very bad fps) but this game doesnt go softly on your emotions like other new horror games,it actually tries to scare,I like the way you can only see ghosts through your phone,my hair on my toes stood up LOL
Neonridr  +   948d ago
especially when you are looking through said phone only to turn around and see that ghost chick right there in your face.. lol

Personally looking forward to Dreadout, I thought the demo was great and I'm sick of waiting for a new Fatal Frame/project Zero and Dreadout looks like the next best thing.

Seems like the horror genre is coming back in big ways!
megalonagyix  +   948d ago
Definetly! I'm hoping for a Silent Hill faithful to the original (and 2).
CaptainYesterday  +   948d ago
So much yes! I really wanted that PS Vita Silent Hill to be scary but it wasn't I'm not sure what they were thinking..
