AusGamers Chat with PhD Candidate Morgan Tear About His Study of the Effect of Violent Video Games

Earlier this week the first journal for research conducted by PhD candidate, Morgan Tear and his supervisor, Dr. Mark Nielsen, of the University of Queensland, with the aim to "Demonstrate That Playing Violent Video Games Diminishes Prosocial Behavior", was made public. The findings, however, failed to demonstrate any such link between violent games and anti-social behaviour.

We took some time to ask PhD Candidate Morgan Tear a handful of questions relating to his research on the effect of violent video games, their approach, and the alleged causal link between games and violence in general.
