Metroidvania Marathon: Or How I Learnt To Stop Worrying And Make Metroid Crawl

Metroidvania – Loosely defined, “Metroidvania” is supposed to be a 2D video game style in which the gameplay is focused on considerably non-linear exploration, item retrieval and proper usage of these items in order to fulfil the game’s primary objective and achieve the desired outcome.

A combination of “Metroid” & “Castlevania” coined after “Symphony of the Night” (Castlevania game) because of the exploration aspect of the game. (Castlevania, Culture, Retro, Super Metroid)

You were really reaching for that Dr. Strangelove reference huh? Lol Just make sure to protect your precious bodily fluids.

Ot: I love me some Castlevania(especially SoTN).

It's just one of those games that I can play from time to time. You never know when you need to hear a Symphony on your Vita.

Mmmmmm.
