The Last of Us Review | 411mania

A few months back I said it would take something spectacular to beat out BioShock Infinite for my personal Game of the Year. It was a statement I did not make lightly, because I really, really loved BioShock Infinite, and in fact, it was a dead heat throughout my play-through of The Last of Us. When I completed this game, I sat down and considered all the angles, and the choice became clear. If those two games were movies, BioShock Infinite would be the incredible summer blockbuster than makes hundreds of millions dollars and everyone enjoyed watching. However, The Last of Us is the darker, more serious movie that wins the Best Picture Oscar at the end of the year. I feel like I’m not exaggerating when I say that The Last of Us is the pinnacle of the current generation of gaming, it is a perfect game, and if any video games should be considered art, it should be The Last of Us. If you have a PS3, this is an absolute must-buy. (PS3, The Last Of Us) 10/10
