So Xbox Live was down again today, making it unavailable for about a total of three weeks straight in a six month time span.
free games awesome im heading to the marketplace right now
This is one dangerous april fools joke.
I almost fell for this and was going to download... but I why in the world would Microsoft need to credit me after I purchase when they can just credit me before I purchase like they did on the last free download. That's when I knew this was fake.
I want to know jus how legit is this...cuz if its real I already waste precious minutes of my shopping spree XD
I have my eyes set on Ninja Gaiden Black that Ive had such a F-ING hard time getting for a decent price and I might as well give it a try downloading it and finishing it before the arrival of the sequel :D
i dont think this is april fools
I'd check the date that this news was originally posted, because this seem suspicion. Microsoft never give anything free. Undercover_agent, me thinks that you might got fooled, or not.
looks very april fools to me
This was what tells me "three weeks straight in a six month time span" ??? "three weeks straight" would be "three weeks straight" could have said three weeks straight in a five year time span.
Don't know how many people downloaded it, but yeah. It was some obscure title...
Must have been a "obscure" PS3 port then, MS probably got it for free in e-mail. After all the PS3 sure has alot to choose from.
If this is an April Fools joke then this one takes the cake! Seriously, I started to turn my Xbox 360 on. "by Alex Yusupov April 1st 2008 9:13 PM EDT"
Why would the compensate people for downtime that was announced that within the short time period that it was?
It is actually quite sad that N4G ran this.
Just think for a bit, a large majority of Live users don't have a credit card connected so why would Microsoft run, an unannounced, offering that excluded all those people.
Secondly why would they make it so difficult for themselves?
its bs. live hasnt been down since december.
This is the only source saying this story so it must be fake.
I think i will report this article as everyone else should so they will remove it so people are not fooled.
I can't confirm this freebie story is true though. It was tempting to buy a full Xbox original game. I have enough of those games already though.
does anyone actaully think this is real? here's a clue.....it is FAKE FAKE FAKE....why in the world would anyone believe this if it has NOT been posted on the xbox.com website? microsoft has ALWAYS posted information on their website concerning things like this...if it's not there, don't waste your time
When is the last time Sony gave something free Phil? Oh that's right, never. That is sad. ;D edit : I put my foot in my mouth...damn PSN! lol
Nicely done, a lot peeps fell for this one...including me. Doh!
I'm sorry, but trying to trick people into wasting money is not "nice".
People need to remember to check the sources..... but just because someone is gullible, doesn't mean you should play mean tricks on them. Visit xbox.com. Check the xbox live announcements/forums. There's nothing there.
Worst April Fool's prank ever. I will not be visiting Xboxfocus.com ever again.
So funny, I could cry with laughter.
i wonder if PSN has problems
RROD, HD DVD loss, and bad xbox live service
"three weeks straight in a six month time span" Did anyone else find this to be an oxymoron?
