valid points, but i disagree joel is an anti-villain. it's more like Joel is realistic and was overcome by his own selfish motivations at the end. It's not like he was going through the the whole game with the single purpose of screwing ellie at the end. The fact is he grew to love Ellie as a daughter and selfishly chose to keep her around. I don't think joel was ever cool with Ellie dying. He thought they might just take a blood sample and Ellie could continue on with him. The script got flipped when he found out Ellie had to die.

also, there was no guarantee Ellie would provide a cure.

Very true. Ppl keep saying they felt almost dirty after everything played out because they controlled him.

i wonder what those Ppl will they do if they were him ?!

for me i would do the same
he's human after all
not superhero who have to save the day

this the first game ever that made me question the main character mental stability and mine too
