Totally disagree with change one right off the bat. I agree that Kinect 2.0 should not be required for the X1 to function but I cannot disagree enough with Kinect 2.0 being removed from the X1 launch bundle.

This would be a huge mistake of epic proportions. Kinect 2.0 is NOT Kinect 1.0 and as such its potential is far more obvious when it is bundled with the X1 then to fully remove it just to price match the PS4.

In fact as it stands Kinect 2.0 is the biggest plus for the X1 in this console war.

Watch the video read the article from the following link and then tell me I am wrong to think that the Kinect 2.0 has serious potential to be really awesome and not just an unwanted gimmick.

Totally agree with the article on every point.

The biggest thing still holding me back on the ONE is the mandatory Kinect, gamers should not be forced into a peripheral device, its basically the same as saying your computer won't work unless you buy this mandatory printer or scanner.

I'm also getting tired of the argument about mandatory Kinect will let developers make better games.

First of all Kinect is a gimmick and nothing more, sure it "could" add to your overall gaming experience (if done correctly) but in the same token it could ruin your overall gaming experience if done incorrectly, are you going to trust any and all Devs to give your a proper experience?

Will Microsoft also mandate that Devs add Kinect functions much like they require achievements?
How many crappy achievements have you gotten in your gaming experience? Pretty hit or miss isn't it?

I can't tell you this, when you place mandates on people or things you often get the minimal requirements met by said mandate.
