Opinion piece on what games the author thinks the PS VITA needs.
As a GTA fan, I would be most excited for a GTA Stories title for the Vita.
San Andreas Stories would go down a treat.
Yes to all of those hoping there is a GTA Vita need some more open world games and a few survival horror games would be great :)
I would love it if they made a proper Silent Hill HD collection for the Vita with SH1,2,3 and 4. I wouldn't mind a good old school Final Fantasy to play either.
It needs games period.
Your thinking of the wii u mate. GTA is a must. Silent hill HD remakes. A dead rising game! Oh ... any PS4 game!
You're naming games that are not on the vita and all you can do is hope for them. PS4 remote play is awesome...mate.
"You're naming games that are not on the vita and all you can do is hope for them. PS4 remote play is awesome...mate." Oh yeah so I am! Probalay because its an OPINION PIECE on what games the vita needs!? No one can comment on PS4 remote play until its released, I know that and you know that except your trying to be clever.
More first party games. I hope I get surprised in Gamescom.
Grand Theft Auto with a female lead to follow the other female leads on the Vita Kat and Aveline.
As a vita owner, I would re-title this as: Vita needs 6 (decent) games!
As a vita owner you should buy Uncharted GA, Wipeout 2048, Littlebigplanet vita, Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush, and Unit 13. All very enjoyable games.
If he were a Vita owner, he'd know better.
Man, do you people go THAT far in order to bash the Vita. Wow
@hicken C'mon.... .? I got a Vita on day 1 and nobody can say the support has been good. Okay, saying 6 decent games required was a bit harsh, but where are the AAA titles?
What have you played? The games I have are: Vita: Soul Sacrifice Gravity Rush LBP WIpeout Uncharted Sound Shapes Super Stardust Chronovolt escapeVektor Let's Fish Machinarium MotorStorm Port/Remake/Multiplatform: Ninja Gaiden Sigma BlazBlue PS All Stars P4G Disgaea 3 Atelier Totori Muramasa MLB 12 Plants vs Zombies Hustle Kings Zero Escape PS1/PSP: Gods Eater Burst Fate/Extra FFVIII FFIX Chrono Trigger Front Mission 3 Tactics Ogre Legend of Mana Medievil Legend of Dragoon Everyday Shooter Persona 3 Portable Lunar Persona 2: Eternal Punishment Yggdra Union Minis: TOM Blitz Bullion Blitz Samurai Beatdown Imaginstruments Beats Trellis Shogi Frobisher Says And probably a few more. Are you gonna say NONE of those are AAA titles? Or are you gonna do what lots of others do, and find ways to dismiss the various games until your argument holds water again?
@hicken Oh dear... Someone has time on their hands... I have seven from the Vita list but I'm choosing to ignore psp ports etc... That's not support. This is my view. If you are happy, then that is fine. I am disapointed with the games
Definitely needs inFAMOUS & BioShock. Also, Persona 5 and Monster Hunter. Maybe a good Final Fantasy game. A new KH game. Already love my Vita a lot, 'cuz of games like Persona 4 Golden, Virtue's Last Reward and Gravity Rush. If it were to get these games, I'd be more than satisfied.
If you want a Monster Hunter game you'll probably have to wait a while until capcom wants our money, but Toukiden looks like a very good mh clone.
Tower defense and RTS games would be very good on the vita also
No offense but I get tired of people asking for the same Vita games over and over mainly PS3 games.. Then they complain that the Vita only gets ports... but then all they want is a bunch of games they already played on console. As for the others that were on PSP, they are going to come in time or they simply won't. No sense in asking for those games over and over again like GTA. There were a couple on PSP so the chances are fairly high that as soon as the Vita picks up more Rockstar will want a piece just like the PSP. I mean Vice city stories didn't come until about two years after the PSP was released and Chinatown (not that I cared for that one) didn't come out until 2009, about 5 years after the PSP was released. Also keep in mind it was way easier to make games for the PSP. PS Vita games take time and that is what I don't think many people understand, they assume it is as quick and easy as the PSP was but the PS Vita is far from what the PSP ever was as much as I loved it. I mean some of the PS Vita's games are literally close to console quality like PS3 quality, you could have never said that about your PSP at the time. Sure the PSP was amazing as well don't get me wrong but like I said it will take time for really good Vita games to be made.. I mean look at freaking Killzone: Mercenary.. Sure it won't be out anytime soon but do I care when I see the quality and effort put into it? No I don't. I would rather have good quality games made even if it isn't every month, rather than a bunch of games that aren't that great just to have them to fill up some unreasonable void. Simply because gamers are so impatient yet I don't seem them going out there and developing these games faster instead of just complaining all the time.
Similar list to mine! Hopefully we'll see one of these titles at Gamescom
Needs gravity rush 2, would definitely like a new infamous game. Glad we are getting killzone tho.
Whatever draw GTA used to have for me is gone, so seeing it on various lists means nothing to me. The rest of them would be pretty good. Especially inFamous and Kingdom Hearts.
Less ports, more exclusive games. Gamescon, don't let me down.
1) Borderlands (FPS) 2) Proper Call Of Duty 3) Infamous 4) GTA 5) Minecraft. You've got an idea - what Vita lacks is games that makes it unique console with unique experience. No 3DS nor PSP or phones has hardware and controls to handle fps or games which can't be imagined without dual-sticks controls. FPS a massive genre with terrific revenues. No other device can handle it. It can rocket Vita's sales to the sky - as the only device which allows you to have TRUE console experience on-the go, the experience that is not possible anywhere else in the mobile market. That's it. That's strange that Sony doesn't feel the obvious.
a Dark/Demon Souls for the vita pleaaaaaaase
