Blizzard is tackling its second Arena tournament in an innovative way. GameSpy got the full scoop.
On March 31st, 2008, Blizzard will take its sincerest step toward realizing PvP equity in World of Warcraft. Unfortunately, its effects will be short-lived. With the 2008 Global Arena Tournament, Blizzard is inviting WoW's most competitive players to battle it out on a PvP-only realm, using pre-made level 70 characters equipped with standardized equipment sets and a whole lot of configurability. Participants will have unlimited gold with which to purchase equipment, enchantments, and gems, and enjoy the ability to reallocate their talent points without restriction. It's every serious PvPer's dream.
There are, of course, a few catches.
