GT5: Prologue unshareable (US/EU version)

As we discovered today GT5: Prologue is kind of unshareable. Every 24 hours one person can play the game on his PS3 before an other person/ps3 can log on and play the game. It can only be played with the owner account (who paid it). Off-line you can't play the game so you have do be logged-on to the PSN network. This is against what sony's stating in the PS store. There it says that it can be shared on 5 different registered PS3 systems.

same price but you get a nice shiny box and a Blu ray disc

Does the article say that? And, why the hell do you have to be logged in to play? Thats super lame. What if you want to take the game to someone's home to play? What if you take your console with you on vacation somewhere you dont have your high-speed?

What if you have a console in your RV for tail-gating? You cant play this game? That is super lame. What is Sony thinking?

Anything they release on BR Disc won`t be sharable. They are a business you know. The fact we get to share anything at all, which there is lots of stuff you can, is great and should be much appreciated.

Just buy the disc version then.

What are you thinking?

This is the same as Warhawk, nothing new here. People should just be glad that they only do this on a few games (2 games so far)

This got me so mad.

Right now I'm on a limited Internet connection because I'm in between moving. So It's a pain to get my PS3 online right now.

I got it online and bought GT5P. The next day I was surprised to learn I could not play the game without being logged on PSN.

A problem they need to fix.

@barom

This is nothing like Warhawk.
On Warhawk you need to be online for a reason. On GT5P there is no reason to be online while playing carer mode.

Warhawk does have split screen and Lan games. It could be played without being logged into the PSN, if Sony only allowed it. No More downloaded games from Sony for me. BD Disk only. I got burned with the Warhawk.

then you can't share at all

PirateThom3404d ago

Yes, it can be shared to five different systems, but you need to be logged into the same PSN account to use it...

How is that against what it's saying?

You == wrong.

You cannot share it on 5 systems, you can play it on one account, on one machine every 24 hours. You must connect to their DRM-checking system to play _at all_.

stevendlv3404d ago

It doesn´t work on 5 systems (at the same time or within 24 hours)

Skerj3404d ago

I knew it was going to happen for this, same thing is going to go down with Socom as it did for Warhawk before. They don't mind the smaller games but the $40 games with BR releases will get this brand of lock.

PirateThom3404d ago

Yeah, I don't even mind. When given the choice between the download and disc, I take the disc anyway.

Sony have been great with sharing games, the smaller ones, they really don't care about, hell, some of the PR guys actually said you can do it, but I don't blame them for locking down disc/download titles.
