JunkieMonkeys.com: Drakengard fans gather round. The debut trailer for Drakengard 3 has just been released by Square Enix.
don't know why but the girl at :43 reminds me of Sarah from ff13-2. well her face at least
PS3 architecture has been and still difficult on Japanese 3rd Party developer, yet its beauty hadn't wither away. May Drakengard's developer lives continue.
I loved the first 2 but the gameplay seems to robotic when your the chick, i was hoping for a more fluid feel to bring the game to modern standards and the enemies looked a bit too hesitant when attacking (ai looks lacking) i know its still early but id like to see those issues addressed. Like the new features with blowing ships up though.
I think Drag-on Dragoon sounds so much more cooler than Drakengard lol
I hope this is a very early build.. if it wasn't for the character models, this almost looked like a ps2 game with those environments.
the thing is, Drakengard was never known for great graphics Take a look at the first 2 games and Nier.
I wonder if this will have any faint connections to Nier, I'm way too burnt to remember the connections between Drakengard 2's ending ( I think it was C ) and Nier, but it'd be awesome if there was some kind of connection...
@ Puppy_Farts - you're thinking of the 1st drakengard (ending E) when the dragon gets shot down in modern day tokyo. Nier is set 1000+ years in the the future of that tokyo.
Yup, I'm all over the place. Thanks for claryfing! :)
Want to submit the trailer but WillGuitarGuy already did it. Oh well... - the CG are cool - the graphic...this game came from the team / dev who made Nier and Deadly Premonition, so graphic isn't really the ultimate selling point for Drakengard 3. But hopefully, they fix the animation for the dragons (it looks akward when it's flying) - gameplay looks like previous Drakengard and Nier, no problem to me - music sounds good and dual dub or not, i will buy this game :) So SE, localize Drakengard 3 ASAP ;)
Localize??! lol Localizing is not in SE's dictionary. We might need a first party publisher like Sony to publish it, like Bravely Default, Nintendo opted to localize it instead of SE
it's something they have to think about. I'm surprised SE has the balls to make a sequel though.
@fsfsxii Well, Drakengard 1 and 2 got localized by SE. And SE celebrating the 10th anniversary for this franchise with collectors edition. So a localize version for Drakengard 3 isn't impossible. But if SE don't want to localize it, we still had Askys, Xseed, or Namdai to do it. I don't know about Sony though. They never localize SE games. But Sony had some record when localizing / publishing Squaresoft games outside japan such as FF VII, Tobal no 1, Saga Frontier 1, Bushido Blade 1, FF Tactics, and The Bouncer. I say let's just wait for more news after this game got release in japan...
Interesting that they brought Eir Aoi in for the theme song. Here's hoping that Emi Evans will be returning for the OST!
Bring this game stateside!
so whats the flower pinned at the eyes..lack of idea to design character SE?
I figured maybe her eye was gouged out at some point. And that's like her eye patch maybe??
Some of the voices are annoying.
