Ride to Hell is a Bad Game, But I Still Bought It for a Good Reason

Kotaku: Last year saw the glimmer of a movement to get a video game based on Sons of Anarchy, FX's biker gang series and a vicarious lifestyle fantasy for many viewers, one of them me. The possibility seemed to go no further than series creator Kurt Sutter's own hopes.

Still, he vowed anything the show licensed "won't be some slapcrap browser thing." Well, there are things worse than a slapcrap browser-based game. There's a slapcrap console game, the likes of which I just purchased for $30 and still find myself oddly drawn to, even if it may be, legitimately, one of the worst titles of this console generation. (PC, PS3, Ride to Hell: Retribution, Xbox 360)

Watched some gameplay from the guys at Giant Bomb and it looked so bad. Watched the first 30 mins of the game and had no idea what was going on.

All the crap Kotaku talks about games but they will play this crap? No hits were given, thanks N4G for saving me the trouble.

I wonder if a single tear was shed by the Kotaku writer?

You just forfeited him his Gawker money to buy a bagel in the morning.

Is there a Razzies of the Video Game Industry? I'd like to see this game duke it out with the likes of The Walking Dead: SI.

Would have been nice to see them get this game right, as I absolutely love the premise, as well as after seeing the game I really liked the art style, & even the graphics & many parts were good looking, such as the headshots in the shootouts.....but, I guess they just stuffed it up in too many areas for it to be redeemed. Oh well, heres to hoping Mad Max on the PS4 isn't going to suffer the same fate, as both are brilliant ideas for games, with so many game friendly elements in there makeup.

I would like to see another, really good developer have a crack at a bikie themed game....I mean, the bikes, guns, drugs, shootouts, etc, etc, & especially the music are awesome videogame fodder, obviously.

Game does look awful, but where in the hell did the author learn to write. I had no idea what the f*** his point was until the end. Up until that point it seemed like random ramblings about shitty games.
