Next-Gen Prince of Persia Wish List: The Return of the Smartass

A while ago, Ubisoft stated that the Prince of Persia franchise was on hold (bummer #1). After that, a few screenshots were posted on Climax Studios’ website, and everyone thought that they represented the next generation PoP. Unfortunately, those turned out to be mere concept pieces, and nothing came out of them (bummer #2). Now, Ubisoft is teasing us with an announcement of the long awaited series, which is apparently coming next week. In hope that the announcement won’t turn into bummer #3, and Ubisoft will actually unveil a next generation PoP, here is a wish list describing the things which I’d like to see from this possible next entry... - Vlad Pintea, Chief of News & Reviews/PC Editor for Analog Addiction

I thought the relationship bewteen the Prince and Farah was much more compelling than that between him and Elika. And Warrior's Within was unnecessarily violent, in my opinion. In other words, I want the next PoP to be like a better version of Sands of Time which is to me the best episode of the franchise and one of my favourite games of all time.

Warrior Within was violent but it was amazing, it was the best Prince of Persia game in the franchise.

They tried doing another Sands of Time with The Two Thrones, going back to the beginging but it kind of failed. I mean it was a bit of a p*** take that everything you did with Farrah in the first game was forgotten in the third game, I wouldn't mind if she remembered in the end but she never did, she was still clueless about you.

I hope we don't get another forced entry into the Sands of Time trilogy like the Forgotten Sands which was horrible, a shameless forced entry to go along with the film releasing at the same time. Hell the princes face looks totally differnt to match Jake Gyllenhaal's. Basicaly in the end the game was just unnecessary

The next Prince of Persia better be a continue of the 2008 reboot one. The DLC was a cliffhanger and Elika was amazing

All they have to do is try to get Nolan to not give us a Nathan Drake but more of a different personality which he can do (Penguin off Batman, David off the last of us, personality spheres off Portal 2).

They have a lot to improve for the sequel and they can do it....the same happened with Assassins Creed. They improved on everything in the sequel and look what happened.

10 Super NES Games You’ll Probably Never Beat

If you’re a gamer “of a certain age”, you may vaguely remember the moment when games went from a grueling gauntlet requiring all your skill and concentration to tackle to a casual, checkpoint-containing, cruise control-encouraging walk in the park.

I beat Jurassic Park multiple times!

Jurassic Park had no save system, so I would leave the console running while I went to school, took breaks. It's not that it's hard, it's just tedious. But I was a Jurassic Park obsessed kid (around 13 when this hit), so I would obsessively scower ever inch of the maps (both 2D and 3D) until I had them memorized.

The Star Wars trilogy, I only beat w the cheat codes.

Sounds just like me. I mapped out the indoor areas on paper, leaving the SNES on for days at a time. But I never finished the game. I collected all the raptor eggs except one. So close !

oh god, I remember beating JP on SNES and like you said, it was all in one shot.

I dunno about this list though, I beat all the Star Wars games and while some levels were tough, it was easy to get powerups and extra lives and stuff. Maybe set to the hardest settings it was tough. I also beat Contra 3, loved that game to death.

with the exception of Jurassic Park and Prince of Persia, I've beaten every other one of those. It just takes practice and time. Something I had way more of when I was younger.
