Best Ouya games

GamesRadar - The Ouya is where indie games rule. With nearly the same free reign as the indie scene on PC, the Ouya marketplace is open to a colossal range of Android ports, converted Flash games, and original projects. They're all free to try, but with so many available, it can be tricky knowing which ones you should download. Well, wonder no more--these are the best of the best on Ouya, and are absolutely worth your time and money. (Android, Ouya, Tech)

Why does everyone think the Ouya is about ported cell phone games? Just because they both have Android at its base?

It's about excellent indie games. Games like Towerfall, Hidden in Plain Sight, and Fists of Awesome, none of which are available on cell phones and wouldn't work on cell phones. These aren't AAA graphics games, but they are a lot more fun than most of the junk put out today with the "AAA" label on it.

The Ouya is also about emulation, retro gaming, a media hub and streamer (netflix, XMBC), and personal game design and creation. If you're interested in creating games, it's awesome and there's zero red tape! It's actually an awesome little console.

It plays Android games right? There's a truck load of those games, maybe not any amazing ones, but bound to be a couple good ones in the bunch.

That's the problem with this console. There are a ton of great games on android but the system only supports games made to run on it. They need to push developers to make their games work on ouya because right now it's slim pickings. They should have started a studio that would offer that service to developers for their back catalog.

Ah, I see.
I haven't really followed the Ouya to closely, so I guess I shouldn't have spoken. :(

If you think the only games that exist are Call of Duty and its clones, I guess you could say that. If you enjoy innovative and creative indie games, there are more games on Ouya at launch than any other system in history.

It's not just android games. Also original titles built just for Ouya. What, no one has checked out or used the sdk or Unity for Ouya? Ah wait, it's easier to spout off ignorant nonsense than actaully know anything about the product and tools right?
