The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – we track down the studio building a hugely ambitious next gen RPG

EDGE: "An open-world game is a huge undertaking for any studio, let alone a Polish independent with a track record in story-driven RPGs. But CD Projekt Red is no ordinary indie. Together with its sister companies – the Good Old Games download store and CDP.pl, a localiser and distributor of English-language games in Poland – the group is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The studio’s inauspicious offices, tucked away at the back of an industrial estate, hold 160 staff at present, but the team’s still hiring. Just 89 people work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt directly, developing nearly everything in-house with proprietary tech. It’s by far the studio’s most ambitious project to date." (CD Projekt RED, PC, PS4, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Xbox One)

40-50 hour main story plus the open world. I understand this Is a PC game too..but the consoles are able to handle this with the first wave of games. Man these worlds are going to be absolutely huge later down the lifecycle of these machines.

I am so burned out on fantasy themed games I haven't played one since the PS2, but the unique style of this game has me very interested and I'm looking forward to playing it.

Kinda sucks this will be the first ps game for the witcher series. I wonder how they will catch up players who haven't played the other 2 games?
