ATLUS Lives, Shows Dragon’s Crown Character Variations, Beautiful Monster Sprites and Artwork

Many got quite worried about ATLUS’ mother company Index Corporation filing for the Japanese equivalent of a soft bankruptcy yesterday, but the company has since reassured its customers that upcoming releases won’t be affected.

Today ATLUS gave another quite clear sign of life by publishing a lot of new assets of the upcoming side scrolling JRPG by Vanillaware Dragon’s Crown. (Dragon's Crown, PS Vita, PS3)

Launches on August the 6th, and that's exactly the same dilemma I have.

Just 5 weeks away, I've been waiting forever for this game.

Definitely getting the PS3 version, local Co-op is always good to have. Actually getting the digital version from the PS Store,
I don't have space for things like art books etc

I'm hoping that whenever Gaikai launches it's services for the Vita that the digital titles I've purchased will be playable via streaming. PS3 games streamed to the Vita.

I've choosen the Vita version, its going to look gorgeous on the OLED screen and its so easy to pick up and play (no need to start up system, just resume from a suspended game)and I can relax anywhere and play it. Plus it has some touch screen additions for finding treasures(and I think it was originally intended as a vita game, though I might be wrong). Not to mention its 10 bucks cheaper.

Only downsides is that I'm sure the PS3 controller will feel more natural, the, graphics/framerate may (or may not) take a hit on vita and the online will obviously be more populated on PS3 as more people own that system and thus its expected more people will buy it on the PS3.

Edit: Oh and like paul said below, local co-op on PS3 version.

Initially, I chose to get the Vita version. I simply have too many PS3 games to go through, but the Vita is my go-to device for on-the-go gaming. As well, I just ordered Muramasa Rebirth from Amazon which I can't wait to try. If I dig Dragon's Crown as I think I'm going to, I will most likely pick up the PS3 version as well.

As for me, I think I'll get both versions. With the ability to transfer character datas across systems, this is gonna be a nice way to grind for loot while I'm not anywhere near my TV, and still be able to use those levels and equipments when I wanna play co-op on my ps3. :)
