Who Will Benefit the Most from GTA IV?

Via TheGameReviews

"In the months leading up to the next release of gaming's arguably biggest franchise, there has been a fierce amount of contention over which company will reap the biggest rewards. This is the first GTA game that will be releasing simultaneously on two competing platforms, so naturally everyone wants to know, which version will sell the most? While equal arguments can be made for the game doing well on the Xbox 360 or PS3, it's clear that the people who will benefit the most will not be either console manufacturer, but Take 2 itself."

This is the correct answer. Achievement unlocked. End.

"Us" the gamers will enjoy it the most.

INehalemEXI3494d ago

Yah, thats what I was thinking. Gamers will benefit most aside from Rockstar making mad cash.

get disagrees for that?
frankly those who did this are stupid lurkers
abusing the system.

56 hours single player gameplay, side missions, extra content for ps3 and 360 + online with 16 diff game modes all for $60 definitely makes us the winners.

Take 2 will I thought they were in a hole?.
They're trying to take advantage of XBL members habbits lets hope they deliver something worth our money later on this year and next.

Ill only look forward to the DLC if its something worth it. Extra missions and things of that nature should be in the box from the start, and i will not buy it. Maybe thats there way of getting out of that hole...DLC.

You have a point but DLC isn't something devs are leaving out its things they brainstorm for gamers and their own pockets in the future after the retail product is launched adding more value to a gamer's investment and to bring in revenue down the road..

EDIT: Who's dissagreeing and if Take 2 isn't going to benefit the most then who?.. the gamer? and if so which gamers?, I know as I've been attacked because of it.

You've confused me. Missions and things are in the box from the start. Otherwise, GTA IV isn't going to be worth buying. At all. The DLC can be anything. If you look at the history of DLC, its maps, vehicles, new characters, new weaponry, new themes, gamerpics, backgrounds, music, and god for bid- (EXTRA MISSIONS). You are going to miss out if you don't pick up extra missions. They are one of the many elements of downloadable content. Its not the end of the world if you turn your eye away if there happens to be extra missions in a DLC, but come on man. lol

and that's all any of us should really care about

TheExecutive3494d ago (Edited 3494d ago )

Who will benefit the most?
They will both benefit.

MS needs to advertise and cut their prices before the launch in order to sell more consoles than Sony.

I think the way it stands now the ps3 as a console will sell better but the actual game will sell better on the 360, at least this year.

Who has the most to lose?

Microsoft.

skilzkilz3494d ago

that was the first thing that jumped out of my mouth when i read that. GAMERS and Take2.
