Game Informer - Test Chamber – Ride To Hell: Retribution

Game Informer - In what's always bad news for a game's level of quality, Deep Silver did not send out review copies of Ride To Hell: Retribution. While I'm only a couple of hours into my review playthrough, I can already tell that they tried to keep this hilarious pile of garbage out of critics' hands for a reason. We could have waited until after the review is posted to record a Test Chamber, but I was so excited about what I've seen already that I lobbied Reiner to record one immediately.

I think they took some material they had from the original Ride to Hell idea and told a cheap dev team to just get it out the door. It's a disgrace to gaming, a ripoff,and a waste of a good original idea.

Its the worst cash grab I have seen in years.

The mechanics are horrendous, there is a cutscene every 2 minutes, bullet sponge enemies that you are better meleeing than shooting, and animations are done by hand - the hand of a 5 year old. It's just pure trash.

Building and customizing your bike was an idea behind the original game concept and now bikes are no name simple devices. They bounce off of objects, you can't lay them down or wreck, and the constant cheap Road Rash imitation is just absurd.
