The indie developer team RobotLovesKitty is hosting a 13-hour Steam Greenlight stream on Twitch on June 29th.
From the 13th to the 20th of this month, the GameKid Raspberry Pi Jam organized by RobotLovesKitty on itch.io served as a platform for Raspberry Pi game developers to put forth game creations worthy enough to be featured on the GameKid.
Marcus Estrada writes: "I'm a bit obsessed with collecting video game consoles. While there are still many more for me to nab from the vast history of gaming, Kickstarter is making it even harder with their own modern devices. Case in point: The GameKid recently hit Kickstarter. This tremendously GameBoy-inspired device features a Rasberry Pi inside, meaning you'll potentially have access to a wealth of emulated titles, as well as Rasberry Pi exclusives. The device was dreamed up by Robot Loves Kitty (best known for their game Legend of Dungeon) and is, honestly, not presented with a particularly slick Kickstarter."
What if you could sell your home, build a tree house in the woods, live off the grid, and create video games? To many, it probably sounds like a dream job. Yet that’s exactly what Alix Stolzer and Calvin Goble, the independent husband-and-wife development team Robot Loves Kitty, did for years while working on their latest project, Legend of Dungeon.
This is just plain nuts how people can live this way, much less develop a freakin' game.
