With the Wii U going through something of a game drought, what are you supposed to do until Pikmin 3 arrives? We have selected 10 underrated or forgotten games for the original Wii that are worth tracking down to plug the gap.
good list, i can add: madworld no more heroes 1 and 2 fragile dreams okami wario world: shake dimension kororinpa & marble saga: kororinpa (2) mercury meltdown revolution excitebots lets tap (running mode multiplayer is amazing) elebits (eledees) disaster: day of crisis man , wii has many good games, especially those what many people dont even know them...
klonoa. Just picked that up and as far as remasterings go...it does the original PS1 classic justice.
Good list, but Okami doesn't really hold up to Okami HD on PS3. I own and have played through both versions. When putting them side-by-side, the 1080p graphics obviously stand out a lot, but less obvious is the Move controls, which feel much better than the Wii Remote, and you also have the option of using the DualShock, which most people seem to prefer anyway. Maybe the same can also be said for No More Heroes, which also came out later on PS3, but I haven't played that one (yet).
NMH has some technical issues that weren't in the Wii version, like a decent amount of screen tearing. The Move works just as well as the Wiimote so no huge difference there. Between the minor flaws of the PS version and the lack of HD on the Wii version it comes down more to preference (or what system you own) more than anything else :)
Arc Rise Fantasia is a great RPG that will take you back to the PS2 days. Also, both Conduit 1 and 2 are great FPS's. Last but not least, Rune Factory Frontier and Tides of Destiny are both great games. Please friends, play these games. You will not be disappointed. :)
Oh Elebits, a big miss on my part. Some good choices there.
Great choices. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves was my favorite Wii game. Has anyone played Lost in Blue for the Wii? Is it as good as the DS titles?
I have and although some of the elements of are very similar to DS, I found it to be even better on Wii. The Wii just really suited that game well. :)
Oh, awesome! Thanks for the review! Bubbles and I'm gonna go get it. :)
sin and punishment 2 The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces zack and wiki tatsunoko vs capcom house of the dead: overkill nba jam
Tatsunoko V Capcom is the shizz! I just picked up Zack and Wiki, looking to play it after finishing Muramasa.
S&P2 is one of the greatest rail shooter EVER!!!! Right now I'm playing Zack and Wiki... So good.
I just picked up Sin & Punishment: Star Successor for $10 new from Amazon. It just arrived today. i also got Zak & Wiki for $6 at Game Stop a few months back. Great games.
I thought Deadly Creatures was great. i loved the story, and that ending was a really great forshadow of twisted fate. I also got MadWorld from amazon yesterday for $8.00 new. That is an awsome game.
I would add Trauma Center and Trauma Team.
I wonder if Nintendo will bring Wii games to the e shop, I don't buy discs anymore
If you didn't buy them back then, good luck finding them now at a reasonable price.
ive been able to find pretty much all of these new and used for between $10-20 each.
not a bad list. i would add Project Zero 2 and Battalion Wars 2. However, if you own a wii (or a wii U), then please make sure you play the great Xenoblade Chronicles before you expire. I was not a fan at all of jrpgs, then i played Xenoblade, and " OH MY FU*KING GOD!" Believe the hype.
But it's so expensive D:
Ah Battalion Wars, another great game. Has any console ever had so many undervalued games?
get Last Story too and zelda: tp and ss
Im glad they mentioned Boom Blox. It's still one of the best games ever. Many poeple don't know that Pikmin 2 was ported to Wii, I'm playing that now. Did anyone else think that Resident Evil 4 on Wii is still the best RE experience to date? The original remake is superb as well.
