The Mind Behind SOCOM 1 & 2 Talks H-Hour: World’s Elite, Shooters and PS4

When SOCOM 4 released in 2011, fans were happy to see the franchise return, but many did not agree with the direction it had taken their beloved series. A year later, Zipper Interactive, the team behind almost every major SOCOM release was sadly closed, and fans thought the series was gone for good. Now, David Sears, the Creative Director behind the iconic SOCOM 1 & 2 is looking to bring the heart of the series back with H-Hour: World’s Elite and needs your help. With the assistance of the crowdfund site Kickstarter, David is looking to not only bring the spiritual successor H-Hour to PCs, but also to the PS4.

PSLS spoke to SOF Studios’ Creative Director David Sears about the game and just what it could mean to SOCOM fans and shooter fans in general. - PSLS (H-Hour: World's Elite, Kickstarter, PC, PS3, PS4)

If they reach $2.5 million dollars in pledges they'll release the PS4 and PC version so much sooner.

Are there any billionaires here willing to shed a couple of million dollars?

This game needs to happen! I want to be playing thi game by the end of 2014 and if they show quality Sony should hired them to make the new Socom asap.

I already pledge my $ any one should.. games like this should exist!

I wonder if Sony cares about this happening.

Go ahead and ripped me for the following comment but,

Why not a XboxUno version or asked some other publisher besides SOny to help out? If indeed if the money is needed.

My guess would be because that the Socom franchise is known as an PS brand game.Yes it coming too the PC also but having Socom on the PS4 would do major numbers for this company. And personally I think MS have their chips in the CoD boat atm...
Rip-Ridah  +   676d ago
Yea, Sony owns the Socom IP.
harbie  +   675d ago
They are considering an XboxOne version. But have no current plans for it.
younglj01  +   676d ago
I would love if this company could reboot the Socom franchise .Sony please buy this company please....

David Sears FTW.

God I really hope they don't make an XBOX version, mainly because I want a concentrated amount of players on one console. If the can do a cross battles between, PC, XBONE, and PS4 then by all means go right ahead.

I really hope the make the kickstarter goal!!! We need a real game
