E3's Hidden Gem You Haven't Heard Of: 1954 Alcatraz

The game’s called 1954 Alcatraz, from game designer Gene Mocsy and Daedalic Entertainment. Daedalic started catching attention for its satire adventure game series Deponia, and this was one of several games I saw during a sit-down session at E3.

Unlike the other two games I previewed, which were Fantasy games based on the German tabletop game The Dark Eye, 1954 Alcatraz was an Adventure game straight from the heart of San Francisco, showing off a mid-20th century aesthetic usually reserved for games like LA Noir or the upcoming The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. The game gives you control of Joe and Christine Lyons, a husband and wife team working to break Joe out of the notorious Alcatraz. (1954: Alcatraz, Daedalic Entertainment, Dev, E3, Industry, PC)
