GameSpy writes: "Death Jr. has had a long and vaguely illustrious career on the PSP, but after the recent lackluster porting of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters to PS2, you'd be forgiven for being skeptical about Death Jr.: Root of Evil for Wii. If PSP titles don't port well to the PS2, what chance could they possibly have on the Wii? Well, from what we've seen of Death Jr. so far, it seems that significant graphical upgrades and a classy, well-built control system can make all the difference.
Put simply, Death Jr.: Root of Evil on the Wii already looks like a well-rendered Tim Burton film, roughly on par with "James and the Giant Peach" and "Nightmare Before Christmas." Granted, it's still on the Wii, so these graphics are somewhat limited by the hardware, but even in preview stages, Death Jr. looks better than most of the Wii titles out there. The faux-goth stylings are combined with surprisingly colorful backdrops that highlight the twisted yet whimsical themes."
