The Last Of Us: Game Review | TheHinduBusinessLine

By Sabyasachi Biswas

What Naughty Dog has created with Last of Us is a treat in ways more than one, for one very simple reason – the game is convincingly realistic. The impressive visuals, the gameplay strewn with lifelike choices, an AI that is extremely unpredictable and above all, the emotions that are so inescapable, make Last of Us one of the most brilliant games I have ever seen. The players are always torn between difficult decisions and emotions, and when they're not, they're celebrating small victories. There are multiplayer and online modes, but it is the campaign that has outdone every other game in this genre. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be the best game of this year.

In my mind I was trying to formulate some ironic joke about posting "Last...of Us" instead of first and be self deprecating about it.

Instead I'll just say The Last of Us is brilliant.

Its a game that u can watch someone playing it & still get drawn in like my wife did but playing it is a whole different story. You wont find an experience like this with any other game out there. If u notice, majority of reviewers say the game is a masterpiece but u know its not all hype when most of those who actually went out & bought it say the same thing & most of them say its the best game they ever played. The game definitely not only lived up to the hype, it exceeded it & that is the toughest thing to do especially when the game is hyped to so many levels. GTAV & Watch Dogs will be amazing but its going to have to go really beyond if it wants to achieve what TLOU has done. Great story, great graphics, great gameplay, great ai, great characters, great sound, & great multiplayer. Thats a tough task but rockstar & ubisoft have been doing great aswell so i expect good things from those 2 games aswell. This year is the best year so far this gen.
