What games does MLG still have?

krisds141997d ago

I know Black Ops 2 and League of Legends are in it.

Kevlar0091997d ago

It's annoying when MLG hosts LoL matches, takes forever for recordings of matches to become available to the public

Tejaneudys981997d ago

Halo 4, NBA 2K13, FIFA 2013, Gears:Judgment to name a few from there website

inf3cted11997d ago

Pretty sure Halo 4 is not MLG anymore.

Halo 4 has AGL tourneys now.

JsonHenry1997d ago

I'm hoping they will pick up Dota 2 and maybe the new Command and Conquer if they can get the balance between the factions down.

They still have SC2 just not in the WCS Blizzard tournament kind of way. They have their own circuit that they can now focus on. WCS didn't fit the MLG format that well so it was probably best for them to split. I'm pretty sure NASL is getting the WCS partnership and they fit better since they had already been doing daily content.

This isn't a no more SC2 at MLG. It is just a no more hosting Blizzards North American part of their world tournament.

MLG is getting less and less MAJOR it seems.

How many Happy MLG gamers are there ? Almost none because they all think they are the best, so anytime something doesn't go their way, they go rage crazy or blame others and it seems to spread negativity everywhere.

I think it's cool that there is a way for gamers to make some good money and have great competition but I feel like for some reason there is a lot of Arrogance and doucheyness associated with it.

So freaking dumb. True, SC2 isn't the best nor hardest RTS, but it's still one of if not -THE- largest face of the RTS industry. I don't want to see one of my favorite genres suffer because some money grabbing organization, I just want to see professionals game.

Wni01997d ago (Edited 1997d ago )

What's more competitive then SC2? The skill ceiling is ridiculous.

The GSL partnership with Blizzard for WCS is what killed this.

blitzburns41997d ago (Edited 1997d ago )

It was meant to be a subliminal wink to SC1, but truthfully there are many other RTS games out there that are completely and utterly different when compared to Starcraft...I'm just trying to keep it real is all.

Tejaneudys981997d ago

The first StarCraft is the Only RTS I ever played on PC. its a shame that money controls the outcome of weather or not a game will get played at MLG

DeadlyFire1996d ago

All games should be played. Locking out dozens of potential competitive games = failure.

Cernunnos1997d ago

Are you kidding with me? It is THE best, and by miles the hardest RTS, save SC1.

dasbeer881997d ago

-Points at Company of Heroes and World In Conflict.-

I don't keep up with the eSports scene, how big of a deal is this to SCII and MLG?

Wni01997d ago

SC2 viewership never really caught on in the states until The second MLG and then afterwords it became more popular then Halo - eventually it took the center stage literally.

McScroggz1997d ago

Thanks for the reply :)

I know my friend plays a lot of Star Craft II and watches commentary, but I don't know a lot about it personally.

Sarobi1997d ago

SC2 and League of Legends are two of the most watched games in MLG, so losing SC2 means losing a good chunk of viewership.
