Microsoft on Halo 5, Halo 2 Anniversary

Was the Halo trailer shown at E3 two weeks ago actually Halo 5? And does its advertised 2014 release date eliminate the possibility of the fan-requested Halo 2 Anniversary, since that game’s tenth birthday happens the same year? IGN sat down with Microsoft Game Studios vice president Phil Spencer to try and get to the bottom of it. (Culture, Halo, Phil Spencer)

Halo2 is the only one from the original Xbox i never played.
I wont mind a remake, but i prefer to get part 5.

Halo 2 is the best Halo game. 3 was pretty good, but it's gotten bad after that.

Halo 2 and 3 are by far the best but idk if i would say they have gotten bad.

Really? You sure you just aren't remembering it that way because it was your first cohesive multiplayer experience? I think that's why most people consider Halo 2 a good game. It was more of a well crafted multiplayer experience than legitimately well made game.

From someone who went straight from 10-14 player Halo:CE LAN parties every other weekend into Halo 2 - It was unbalanced garbage. We went right back to Halo LAN. Only became half decent months later after patching. Not to mention the campaign was just plain awful.

It wasn't my first "cohesive" multiplayer experience by a long shot, I was gaming multiplayer wise on PC years b4 Halo 2 even came out. Halo 2 had well designed small maps meant for competitive play, the BR was far more balanced than the crazy fast kill times of the Halo CE pistole, and it had a very high skill cap do to mechanics like the BXR and double shot. I will give you the bit about the campaign tho, it was not the best of the halo series.

Halo 2 had by far the best maps and was the most fun.

There were like 25 good maps to play.

After that they started the "ship with 9 maps" Bullcrap that people do now.

Halo has been going down hill for a while. I played 3 and enjoyed the multiplayer a lot but it wasn't quite as fun as 2.

Reach was fun for a year but got old pretty quick.

Haven't touched Halo 4 after looking at the maps they obviously lost touch with their fan base in terms of maps.

What i take from the article is Yes there will be a Halo 2 HD remake. It wont likely be a 10th Anniversary edition but it will come eventually.
