Kotaku - Outside Japan, the perception is that all Japanese people love Sony. Sony's a Japanese company, so everyone must support the home team, right? Eh...
Kotaku who were famously banned by Sony for enticing hits by constantly breaking embargos are now on the hit trail again.... Surprised? No
go home cockroach.
Cockroaches? laughing so hard.
Being called that by bunch of japanese nerds bothers me much less than having a company like MS try and f*** me over with the bullsh*t policies they just tried to push on their user base. That's the real slap to the face and not some old nonsense dragged up from the past from a group of people who are nothing but a bunch of xenophobes that are scared of their own shadows.
Being called a cockroach is better than getting smegma in the face from Microsoft and its flip flops.
They're banned by Sony or Sony fanboys? There is a difference lol. This article was interesting, btw.
Another thoughtful contribution by WrAiTh Sp3cTr3 to the N4G landscape. They were blacklisted by Sony, famously back in 2007. Google is a helluva thing. I remember months prior to Grand Turismo's 5 release, Kotaku was just on a tear posting negative article after negative article about a game that hadn't even come out. A week's worth of bashing cumulated with Kotaku posting an obviously faked video purporting to show problems with GT's load times. It was laughable as you could clearly see by the reflection of the people in the background when the video was slowed down to give the false impression of a huge load time. Kotaku posted, not a retraction or apology, but a statement that said they weren't the ones responsible for validating the information they posted on their site. Can you believe that? Well who is responsible for the accuracy of your content, Kotaku? I've heard that since then Sony and Kotaku has made up and they are once again invited to Sony events they were previously barred from, but I can't verify if that's true or not. Given Kotaku's history and general attitude towards what they post on their site and the accuracy issue, you can't blame Sony for their earlier stance.
Here's how Sony feels about Kotaku in song. :)
Yeah, how was this article approved? I guess Kotaku got bored of directly attacking videogame developers for putting big boobs in their games, so now they need to directly attack a fanbase "j-j-just because we wanted to show that not everyone in Japan loves Sony! You know...because that's newsworthy" I don't know what is worse. The fact that this article exists, or that in order to maintain a tiny shred of integrity Kotaku now needs to balance things out and start doing "Why Nintendo fans are called tunafish in Italy" and "Why Microsoft fans are called stray-dog in America"...
They are apparently! "(Note: Fans of Sony's rivals also have derisive nicknames, and yes, Kotaku will be covering those at a later date)." Game journalism at it's finest!
How do Kotaku still have 3 star rating on this site? Why even spread such hate?
story quality- WTF? Like this website-No and something will change-probably
Might be a dumb question, but how do you guys do that?
Prcko - Click where it says "kotaku.com" under "Read Full Story"
Looks like there's 5-7 people from kotaku passing their tabloid in n4g.
Most of their writers use N4G and give good ratings on here. Many sites do this.
They have a deal with N4G their ratings are fixed, and any news they put out automatically gets into the top news.
for every one sony fan there is a thousand fans behind them. well, thats the old sayin' about cockroaches. :)
more like we are coack roaches in kaz apartment and we been here before you ms fanboys and we will be here long after you are gone. you cannot f with us microsoft.
i wasn't taking a side on the btw. i was just generally speaking of the idiom. :)
Doesn't that imply an infinite number of fans?
Gee I wonder what they call MS fans.
I copied this from the main Kotaku comment section : - Ninshin : Nintendo fan boys. Shortened form of Nintendo Shinja (means believer ). A.k.a Ninton / Buta. - GK / Goki / Gokiburi: PlayStation fan boys. Shortened form of GateKeeper. - Chikan: Xbox fan boys. It originally means groper. Kotaku will explain its origin someday.
do Xbox fans even exist in Japan?
Ninshin...same pronunciation as the word "pregnant" Chikan...same pronunciation as the word "molesting" WTF?
they call ms fans dead meat.
lol this is funny actually
Of course not everyone in Japan loves Sony. Just like not everyone in America loves Microsoft. Why would you expect someone to love a company just because they are from the country where that company originated?
Wow what the heck is this shit? I knew Kotaku were bad but this even surprised me.
And Kraptaku started with Sony. Why am I not surprised?
Then I guess I'm a cockroach. :D Not going to give Kotaku hits.
let's see if this works.
I think of sony as kakarot after e3 since they fought for gamers. Microsoft fits hercule best, & if u watch dbz u know its a perfect fit.
now THAT's a perfect fit!
no clicking this junk. Usually such terms are reserved for people against whom genocide is committed. It is so shameless of this author to try to make this analogy. Shame on you sir.
No matter how much you step on one he'll keep coming back to defend his lump of plastic until his dying breath.
Everyone hates Kotaku :'(
Cock roaches are invincible they can live through a nuclear war with their heads cut off. So they aren't going away any time soon.
the description fits perfectly proven by the comment section. Many you made an assumption on the title without reading the article. It is a light hearted article with no insults thrown at the sony fanbase. All it does is explain how the 'cockroach' term was created in the japanese gaming community. Keep it classy n4g
Kotaku, kIll it with fIre
Then douse it in acid
You mean they can't live for a week without a head?
