Bungie Talks Destiny Networking, Loot and Customisation, Community, Vehicles and More - AusGamers

AusGamers recently spoke with Bungie engineering lead, Chris Butcher, about various Destiny-related topics, including just how networking and matchmaking work without an active UI, weapons, upgrades and customisation, loot and trading, vehicles and getting around the game-world, how they plan to foster the Destiny community and much, much more.

From the interview:

"...That helps you get around the larger areas, and if you’ve seen the Law of the Jungle trailer, there’s a different kind of vehicle. That was one of The Fallen vehicles called the Pike, that we were showing off there. So there are other vehicles, both enemy vehicles and player vehicles.

AusGamers: Can you get in the enemy vehicles?

Chris: In that particular one, you can, yes." (Destiny, E3, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Yeh me too and I want some real deep options unlike borderlands 2

Also I want great rewarding loot because in first borderlands you get some great weapons and shields but in 2nd you basically have to beat a boss 50 times just to get some great loot.

And that's coming from someone who spent 150-200 hours in first borderlands and dlc and spent about 75 with 2nd.

Destiny could be the complete package

Great story
Great combat
Awesome/amazing worlds to travel
Great rewarding loot
And please don't make all missions into go get 3 of these parts and 2 of those. Give us some interesting quests

World travel of mass effect
Loot system improved from diablo and borderlands
Great combat since its halo developers
Proper story well I am hopeful

Destiny
Infamous 2nd son
Witcher 3
Titan fall
Possibly uncharted 4
The order 1886
The division

2014 is looking like a huge year and could be the single biggest year gaming wise

I am different in that sense, when i get a higher level loot i am more excited to level up so i can try the new equipment

one other thing i hope if there are skill points than they let us mix and match, with borderlands series you have to get one to unlock another, in darksiders 2 you pick and choose whichever you want to unlock that way you don't end up wasting skill point to a useless ability just to get to the one you actually want to use
