Yeah, I agree. Though only because they kind of went a different direction with Elizabeth. She was less a character and more a plot point by the end of the game. Ellie was just a great, great character, regardless of gender or age.
Not only was all of Elizabeth's character development thrown out the window in the last 15 minutes of the game, but she was also completely unbelievable and, to a certain extent, ridiculous throughout the early-midgame ("It'll be a revolution, just like in "Les Misérables"!)
Ellie, by far. Elizabeth was "kawaiiii waifu" and a pretty shallow character with no growth, not to mention an inconsistent personality.
Elizabeth. Ellie was annoying the entire game and had some of the dumbest AI ever (like just walking right up to an enemy and then running back to cover).
Are we supposed to believe that you actually bought The Last of Us. You don't even like NaughtyDog and have been calling this for months so you know
No, he watched the game trailer a few weeks ago and that's his story and hes stickin to it
I like Naughty Dog. The old Crash Bandicoot games were fun and I liked the Uncharted games. Last of Us was just clunky, overrated, & mediocre.
last of us was not clunky overrated or anything. I think you are full of it tbh.
your attempt to troll fails so horribly... but i guess you cant expect anything more from a dude who has emo dante giving the finger as his avatar... you are such a badass!! /s
At least Ellie actually had AI (pretty damn fine AI at that). Elizabeth did absolutely nothing throughout the entire game and was completely ignored by enemies. Calling her annoying is an opinion I can't argue with, as everyone doesn't like everyone, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Ellie. She's more helpfull aswell, gives ammo, medpacks, throw bricks at enemies and knife them if they grab you. She shoots at them later in the game aswell. Bioshock infinite wasn't that good, boring an repetetive gameplay. Story was meh, it just had a well made twist ending that made people think the story is much better than it actually is.
Last of us was better but Bio was a great game. Not giving it enough credit kinda is hurting your point.
Eh, I don't think anything he said is wrong, it's just a very vague and unsubstantiated statement. For me the gunplay was a slog, and unfortunately they'd turned the entire gameplay into an FPS. I wasn't even a huge fan of Bioshock but that at least had hacking (not a hacking plasmid that wears off), a half dozen weapons you could carry, different ammo types, weapon upgrades that weren't just '+25% to weapon attribute' and a bigger emphasis on exploration. I also think the main plot was nowhere near as strong as people made it out to be. I won't go into spoilers, but for me the twist didn't hold up to scrutiny, and the game was more interested in using it's 'controversial themes' as a motif rather than actually discussing them. What I loved about Infinte, and what I think carries the game, is the Booker/Elizabeth relationship. We see Elizabeth's worldview and moral code change as the game progresses, we see mutual distrust evolve into camaraderie, and by the end we can totally believe that the bond between these two is genuine. Infinite had some great characters, and Irrational definitely deserves props for what they did with them, but that alone wasn't enough to make me love the game the way nearly everyone else seemed to.
Ellie. I liked her more because of the way they brought her to life. I truly felt like i was protecting Ellie. I felt like I was just escorting Elizabeth. I love both games, but The Last of Us hit this Big Daddy (see what I did there) in the feelings. Both amazing games in their own merits
yes Dat Winter
Makes you a proud father, if you're surviving the apocalypse.
Ellie, she saved me on quite a few occasions.
Both are really amazing characters, nuff said.
Ellie. I liked Elizabeth, and it was cool she handed you ammo, salts and health when you really needed it, but Ellie did all that, AND actually fought enemies and acted as a decoy when the AI detected you needed it. Honestly, it felt at times like I was playing with another player during combat. She was incredibly useful. And honestly, if you complain about what the friendly AI does out of combat, you really should rethink your priorities. How many times did the friendly AI ever get you into trouble? Never, because the enemies were designed to only notice them while in combat. The current generation consoles are not technically capable of human-like AI. Even PC's struggle to get this done.
Ellie was a more interesting character, but as far as AI and preferences go, I'm on Elizabeth's side. Ellie did develop as a character nicely, there's no denying that, but I felt more connected to Elizabeth more than I did Ellie. It may be because I found BioShock to be more immersive than TLoU or just because it was an FPS and therefore the more human connection of "eye contact" is made better than just watching Ellie talk to Joel--not "me". Ellie had better character development but I cared about Elizabeth a little more.
Ellie....for her masterful use of a machete.
"How did you put it? ...'tiny little pieces'"
@izumo LMAO. Sick.
Yeah that entire scene was the most disturbing one in the game. What 'Nolan North' was about to do to Ellie, so when Ellie began to Kratos on Hercules the guy i didn't feel that bad for him.
I didn't know that was Nolan, I guess he'll be in every Naughty Dog game from now on. LMAO Kratos on Hercules. It was so brutal I was so proud of Elle :D
Ellie is better as a character and very helpful in gameplay.
Ellie will shoot or stab someone if you need help. Elizabeth loans you 7 cents. Ellie is a warrior and will save your ass. Elizabeth opens a portal to tornado alley to show how fierce she is when she's mad at you.....and goes back to opening locks. Bioshock Infinite was a great game but they screwed up making Elizabeth a mule and non-combatant. Ellie is a much much better character.
Yep. Ellie for reasons already stated.
if you only have a 360 you'll think elizabeth due to the fact that sadly you'll never experience tlou. for both console owners it's a given that ellie is the smarter ai
