The Koalition: Beyond: Two Souls may not be for everyone (Hands-on Preview)

Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls has become a highly anticipated title for the PlayStation 3. With promises of dramatic cinematography, emotional storyline, and unique gameplay, could Beyond: Two Souls be the successor to the award-winning Heavy Rain?

It’s highly likely.

The Koalition team had the opportunity to play a segment of this game at E3 this year. Not surprisingly, what started off as a regular hands-on demo soon became a wondrous experience of gameplay. That being said, the game may not be every gamer’s cup of tea.

But it is for me, looks fantastic.

I don't believe its meant to be everybody's cup of tea....heavy rain wasn't and neither was indigo prophecy/fahrenheit . Its something less ordinary and I'm glad for it.

Each of the games I mentioned were quirky and had strange mechanics but the overall packages were enjoyable whilst maintaining their individuality. Games like these aren't surefire hits however if they do become commercial successes, its good for the gaming medium. May even green light other risky projects.... Variety is a good thing when the variety is quality

This one has a powerful cast as well which is even more compelling considering they make games from a story point of view. I love their past games and this is an obvious buy for me.

I had a feeling this may have been hyped up a little too much.

considering the creators of the game and their history, I think its hyped up just right. I've seen very very little on this game and have it preordered already, it can score a 4/10 and I will still get it. I love Quantic Dream games and will support and trust that they will not disappoint me.

Agree, the graphics look damn nice but the more videos I watch the less I'm incline to purchase B2S at the end of my PS3s life. I thought Heavy Rain was ok but boring at times, if this plays the same way which looks like it does then count me out. Besides my PS4 is on pre-order, I thought I would have time to invest in B2S with my schedule and a new system coming out.

It may not be for everyone, but it's not meant to be.

I love games like Heavy Rain and L.A Noire, they can be just as tense and nerve wracking as any shooter.

I'm looking forward to B:TS, and Murdered: Soul suspect looks promising as well.
