Cliff Blezinski Explains to Gamers Why They’re Wrong, Without Understanding why Gamers Are Right

Cliff Blezinski went on a Twitter Tirade against gamers who protested Microsoft new policies for the Xbox One. This gamer humbly disagrees with his conclusions. (Cliff Bleszinski, Industry, Microsoft, Xbox One)

I don't want to read about Clifford. I don't frequent N4G is here about Clifford, a retired games developer.

The guy has shown his true colors, and they're some of the ugliest I've seen.

For someone who doesn't even make games anymore, he sure does yap his mouth a lot.

We don't care about what you have to say Cliffy, at this point you can STFU. Get back into the gaming industry and make some great games that don't involve overly masculine steroid soldiers and guns and maybe we'll take seriously what you have to say.

Until then, your opinions do not matter sir.

He is against used games but was going to be perfectly fine with ten people sharing one game.

Game sharing allows you to sell or buy used games without having to go to gamestop and giving them your money. The developers get a cut instead of getting nothing which they get from gamestop. You can't just look at things from one perspective. It's easy for you guys to say that because all you care about is getting the game and playing it. you aren't the ones losing money. I don't blame devs for being pissed at gamestop. if someone was robbing you of money from your product or invention you would be pissed too. It may not be illegal what they are doing, but it's not right.

No see they got their money from the game when the first person bought it for what they where asking. Probably at a game stop, game had to be bought new for it to be used. And it is not like if you keep the games you buy forever they get more money.
Used games are good for devs, because some people have to budget their money so they either wait till retail stores drop the price or rent or buy used but if they really like the game maybe the next time that dev releases a game that person goes and gets it right away.
You don't here the auto industry bitching about used car sales or contractors saying every one needs to buy new houses and not houses some one already owned. The gaming industry is a multi billion dollar a year industry that was like the last place to feel the crunch of the down economy in the last several years all industries lost money. And it is not just game stop, eBay, best buy, cl, people just selling to some one they know.

Right, ms family share plan would have hurt game sales. Me and 10 buddies get a game buying pool going so each of us buys 1 title and gets 10. If you believe ms what ms says, but they took that feature away
Belking  +   835d ago
dude, that isn't game sharing. You don't have access to the full game unless you buy it. You only get to try the game with game sharing.

Cliff, you are a washed up game developer and your opinions sadly do not outweigh the majority's opinion on the issue. What your $$$ ass doesn't understand is that us small folk cant spend 60 dollars on every single game that we buy. I ve played say 200 titles this year if I d paid price for all them games because obviously I would not have been able to borrow or rent games with friends with this new policy. I would have had to sell my children's organs on the black market. Or wait no I just would never have done that and I don't know many people who would have.. Are you getting my point? the policy was a BUST let it die and stay dead things work fine now and do not need to change. Will someone check old Clifford into a home I believe he's lost his wits. So unless MS would have passed out cheat codes for unlimited cash it really just wasn't gonna cut it. God do I hate you Cliff...
