Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory Review | ComboCaster

This game for a niche finds its roots in the war between consoles, something that is present with many jokes in the game, the rest of the game full of references to the world of games, both games with piracy, something that is already present in series since the first game. The major manufacturers Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft have the right to own characters, as well as former giants of industry like Sega.

Unfortunately this is basically the deeper the references go. There are monsters that resemble creatures of Pac-Man or Space Invaders, as well as other elements such as CPUs and the format war a few generations earlier. It is not something that is easy to understand for many players, which further reduces the public of Hyperdimension. Even many of the players who like JRPGs may not notice or feel any attraction for this specific theme. Much of the other elements that mark the JRPGs are still present, fighting, humor and design, but Hyperdimension has something different which may or may not please the players. (Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, PS3) 7/10
