At least.

X1 is having manufacturing issues. Supplies will likely be constrained. Heck, PS4 is already selling far more reserves in the UK and the US, Xbox's two biggest territories.

Microsoft is going to have to earn their reputation back.

"X1 is having manufacturing issues."

Do you have a source on that?

Edit: Just to clarify - I've heard the rumour. I'm looking for a source, not a link to a blog that says it might be happening.

dedicatedtogamers1129d ago (Edited 1129d ago )

Nope, just rumors that have been circulating for the last several months and leaks from established sources. Several reputable leakers on NeoGAF reported that their are esRAM problems and manufacturing issues. Here's the link if you'd like to read it yorself: http://www.neogaf.com/forum...

Kotaku reported that they're 6 months behind as well. Here: http://kotaku.com/about-mic...

To be honest, it's not that big of an assumption. When they revealed the Xbox One, everything looked unfinished (heck, the few games they showed off were using pre-alpha builds) and when MS came to E3, they were using PCs with Nvidia chips to run the majority of their games.

Both devs will have manufacturing issues at launch for a few months, name me a decently successful console that wasn't sold old day 1 pretty much everywhere for a few month? Xbox one will be sold out day 1 as will PS4 the difference is once Xbox One comes back in stock the PS4 will still be sold out. Ebay is gonna get HOT.

Lol MS needs to get that magic marketing going soon.

matgrowcott1129d ago

The neck and neck thing is going to be really interesting next-gen. By rights the PS3 should have been miles ahead, but timing and everything that that includes made it tough to really judge that.

Maybe five million units is a little much, but it'll still be an interesting thing to watch.

The_Infected1129d ago

5 million is an awful big marging but I guess it's possible with all the backlash Microsoft has been getting. I'm excited to see what happens this gen with no year head start and cheaper price for Microsoft,

Gamer19821129d ago

Analysts got it right last Gen saying Xbox would storm ahead thanks to PS3 higher margin and later release date and people said it wouldn't thanks to PS2 domination... They know there market and are paid to do so.. Either way as long as gamers get there console of choice and games they want who cares how many sells right? Leave that problem for MS I mean the console not selling only means more games to boost sales and cheaper hardware :).

I think Microsoft has been and always will be targeting the 48 million Xbox live gold members in the us,that who they want to keep happy.they don't care about anywhere else in the world.48 million members is 1 billion net a year peeps that's what they want.

unchartedxplorer1129d ago

What about the other thirty million?

Mikeyy1129d ago

That's fine by me Sony will just keep there 70 million and scoop up Xboxs 30 million they left behind and well be back to the 100+ million PlayStation days.

That's not including the hard core ms fans who were put off by Microsoft's arrogance so far and switched sides.
