Assassin’s Creed V Will Feature Multi-Player Naval Combat

A few months ago, Ubisoft made it pretty clear that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will not feature naval combat amongst gamers via its multi-player portion. Even so, if our prediction based on a recent interview is correct, the next iteration of Assassin’s Creed might include this tantalising option. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Industry, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

That could be fun. I still think a game solely based on the sea, and pushing the naval combat would have been widely accepted.

I hope they consider something like that.

That wouldn't feel like an AC game anymore though. Maybe as a whole different IP.

I didn't mean as an AC game. I meant a pirate game, or something similar to push the naval aspects. I guess I should have made that more clear.

V? When did IV come out?

Naval Combat was awesome, and perhaps the only worthwhile content in AC 3. Looking forward to naval Multiplayer :)

This cow is already dried up, Ubisoft, stop milking.

Never liked pirates...

Jesus, we're already talking about the next game before IV is even out? Ubisoft's not milking the cow, they're beating it's corpse with the corpse of a golden goose.

The Naval missions were the best part of AC3. The missions with the very huge waves was a blast. That and the graphics look very good!

GET MikeCosgrove in here, we're killing too many Redcoats again.

It really frustrates me the Ezio trilogy were some of the best games this generation for me but they are taking the series into settings which just feel less engrossing. I mean the renaissance period in Italy was such a fantastic period but the american civil war was just not as exciting for me personally and felt like they had perhaps chosen that setting to appease the large american market and their wallets.

Would love to see a Victorian setting or maybe an Australasian setting (the wildlife would be great). They could go really bonkers and choose the apartheid setting although that is possibly too modern and would most likely cause uproar. They could also do an origins story perhaps set in Egypt (that would be fantastic). I will say however the pirate theme could be great although I will probably wait for this game because of the ridiculous amount of games at launch of the PS4.

I agree with most of your post , although i consider Revelation the beginning of the downfall of the series not just AC3 , it was the first assassin's creed game that made me feel the series is getting stale , it being shorter than the previous games and the smaller world didn't help stuff, also the framrate on PS3 was even worst than brother hood for me, and it focused so much on the bomb crafting system, everywhere i go i see that bomb shop icon and it annoyed me.

I've lost all interest in assassins creed games.
