It seems the hype of the new, next-gen consoles have caused a plethora of gamers to visit online retailer Amazon and made sure that they secured their favorite platform's console.
"The E3 week pre-orders of the two wildly-anticipated gaming consoles brought a year-over-year increase in orders of more than 4,000%, compared to consoles ordered during E3 week last year" "Day-one pre-orders for the two consoles was nearly two times that of all video games sales on Black Friday last year (2012)" 4,000%!!! That's like 41 times more than last gens E3 pre-orders! And all those analysts were saying that they don't think the sales will be very high for the coming gen... Wow.
It doesn't say last gen it says last years E3. The only console that would have been possible to pre-order last year was the Wii-U so the statistic is slightly skewed. I'd have been more interested in knowing how they actually compare to last gen's pre-orders as you mentioned
@limewax Crap. You're right, and no option to edit. Oh well. Still impressive, but misleading.
And if you haven't heard...Mobile and tablets and PC are going to replace the console market. /s
"In fact, at the peak of demand last week, Amazon customers were pre-ordering more than 2,500 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles per minute." Wow, great news, after the slow sale of the Wii U, people were wondering if we are heading to a videogame crash like in the 80s. The more we buy these systems and support buying games, it will benefit all of us in the near and long terms.
Will someone tell me where I can look at these lists everyone keeps bringing up. I am curious I can't find it.
@vikingland1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/... UK chart PS4 at #4 XBone at #70 - facts are facts.
In Germany it's PS4 at #1, XBone at #29
So record breaking PS4 sales....
probably %92 ps4 sales and %8 for the xbone lol
