Assassin’s Creed IV Ques Answered: Main Game is 15-20 Hours, Season Pass up for Pre-Order, More

It’s a pretty busy day for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, as it started off with the official E3 gameplay video being given the narration treatment by Ashraf Ismail, Game Director. - PSLS (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Post launch DLC was pretty much a given.

$60 for game. $20 for season pass.

$80 a year of Assassin's Creed every year, ouch.

The dlc was worth it imo, better than the core game (ac3) i hope this time both will rock, not just the dlc.

Season Pass...

Hell I hate those words.

It's like it punches a hole in my enthusiasm for any given game.

15-20 really means 10-15 main story this is normal for assassins creed games. But if they are talking all side quests & optional missions then they are really hiding a lot behind the dlc wall

What extra does "pre-ordering Season Pass" get you?

I think if we're going to be seeing these $20-30 Season Passes more and more, we need to have an option to buy the game+pass for a reasonable price, something below the $80-90 total.

If AC4 has a lot of naval missions count me out. They were so slow & tedious. I will never buy a season pass again & the fact that they're now up for pre order is a fucking joke.

AC3 was disappointing. I was certain I was done with AC games.
But, I find I enjoy the mp so much I can't stay away!

Pirates is also an excellent theme that lends itself well to exploration and the hunger for loot.

I'm likely going to get this. And thank devs that you know who is dead and done!

Personally I liked the new Naval combat. What killed AC3 for me was how much they restricted you in the missions via the bonus objectives. Missions literally could only be done one exacting way if you were to get 100% completion. At least with past AC games there was some wiggle room and you had some freedom over how you accomplished certain objectives.

Don't ever get me started on one of the last missions were you chase your target through the shipyards and have to not get hit and they blow up a damn barrel right next to you at the very beginning.

One of these days they will launch the season pass dlcs first and the game will be up for pre-order later.

15 to 20 hours of the same old crap we've been doing for the past 3 year
