Phenom, part deux: Ars reviews AMD's B3 silicon revision

Joel Hruska of Ars Technica writes: "The Phenom 9850 is an important product and a good launch for AMD for several different reasons. It nukes the B2 erratum that caused the company so much trouble, it offers a much-needed 200MHz speed boost, and while it's not as fast as the Q6600, it's also not as expensive. Despite AMD's claims to the contrary, there's evidence that the Phenom B3 spin is just barely faster than B2-almost all the tests I ran showed the B3 edging B2 by a small (~1.5 percent) margin. In any single test that's small enough to be an anomaly, but the consistency of the increase makes me think otherwise."
