Ouya launch units will be improved compared to the only ones sent to Kickstarter backers and developers earlier this year.
CEO Julie Uhrman explained at E3 2013 that there have been several changes made to the system's interface and the build quality of the controllers.
"Based on feedback we've heard on those [early] units, as well as planned updates, the retail version is much improved," Uhrman told Digital Spy.
"You'll see changes in the UI where we are able to showcase significantly more content at once. The download process is much more seamless.
"The controller has had improvements, from buttons that no longer stick, to face plates that don't fall out when you shift because we've added tape.
Uhrman continued: "We've slowed down the cursor based on feedback, so we feel really good about the unit we're shipping on June 25.
"It's only going to get better, because we're never final."
