The Creepy Side of E3

You might not have heard about the security guard that groped a journalist at this year's E3. Or the writer who gave a PR woman his business card by slipping it in her dress. Or the women presumed to be booth babes simply because of the way they looked.

E3 is the busiest time to be working in the games industries or as a reporter covering the scene. It's the biggest, most important event of the year. But with roughly 50,000 attendees, it's also sometimes the creepiest. (E3)

Hmm Im suspicious... As soon as I read "You might not have heard about the security guard that groped a journalist at this year's E3" I questioned how I could've missed this.

It's something that clearly should've been reported and would've made big news in the industry...

But a Google search has this article as the first result: https://www.google.co.uk/se...

So I might of heard of something which has not been reported on before this article? I google searched a few of the other stories and got the same results (This article was the first on the page)... How else do you want me to interpret this?

Im really questioning the integrity of the writer or Kotaku's editors to not at least ask for sources to be linked. Such serious accusations should not be given by Anonymous sources.

Badly written article for starts.
"So, what booth do you belong to?" the guy asked." i.e what company do you represent? And she walked off, now that's good PR, well done woman.
Even if all of this did happen it's not E3 that's creepy so don't tarnish the event, it's a minority of the people.
I'm wondering how many men complained about being sexually harrassed

With roughly 50,000 people you are guaranteed to get a few creepers... It is not industry specific. I could put 50,000 Politicians at an event and send 1/3 of them to bars at night and I bet the stories would be much more terrifying.

Not to mention most of these incidents happened at a bar. And the claims are that the female is sober (because they never claimed they were drunk) and almost all the men were drunk... That is a little fishy... I wonder how a few of the men would say these incidents happened, you know like getting both sides of a story.

Another point is half these stories can be attributed to a female who "felt paralyzed" and didn't say "Please Stop" or "Get off me pervert" PLEASE don't misunderstand a few of these are extremely inappropriate but may have been stopped if they just stood up for themselves. What does it say about you as a person if your not willing to stand up for yourself and fight back/off the person who is being inappropriate?

One last bit, if I had thought like this,

"I'm really ashamed of myself that I didn't punch him in the face first thing."

when a female groped my privates I bet no one would have approved of how I handled the situation. I said "please don't do that" then stood up and WALKED AWAY (The situation described is unrelated to E3, and happened many years ago)
