Pop Cults - Hands On with Saints Row IV at E3

Richard of PopCults.com writes "I was worried about the future of the Saints Row franchise after the whole THQ debacle, but I see now that it is fine within the hands of Deep Silver. They understand the kind of game they have there and the kinds of gamers that are attracted to it, so very little fundamentally has changed. Richard of PopCults.com clearly has no idea what he is talking about. The series as a whole has been ruined. Deep Silver understands that some gamers have short attention spans and care nothing for things like a coherent story, and just want random college level humor with silly guns.

Even though they alienated a majority of those who stuck with the series since the beginning, they realized the game would still sale based on name and flash alone. While Richard looks forward to the release of Saint's Row IV, I am saddened by the fact that any sort of story-related closure I had hoped to see in relation to the first two games in the series is long, long gone.
