Kinect is the future for rail shooters. Child of Eden, Gunstringer, and Fable the Journey are either completely or partially rail shooter and they are awesome. Crimson Dragon is going to be another.

Yea, Crimson Dragon looks AWESOME. Have you ever played the Panzer Dragoon games? The one on the old school Xbox is one of the best games on the system.

Yes I am a big Panzer dragoon fan I had all of them. I even had Panzer Dragoon Saga and I regret that I sold it.
Orta on the XBOXorig. was great it was one of the most challenging games you could ever play. Loved it.

Child of eden is one of the best rail shooters I've played, more people should try it, especially in 3d

Strange, I've been gaming since first saving the Princess from the castle(even after they kept telling me she was in another!), but never touched a on the rails shooter.

Dead Space Exctraction, House of the Dead Overkill, and The Resident Evil Chronicles games are great and are available on PS3 ( RE games are digital only though) and the Wii. The Wii also has Sin and Punishment which is excellent and I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting. Anyway if you want to try one out any of these is a pretty great start, I would recommend getting something for the Wii if you have one unless you have a Move controller on PS, regular controllers tend to ruin the experience.

No Wii, but I have a 360 and PS3 and no move controller. The motion controls int the Dual shock doesn't work well?
mydyingparadiselost  +   468d ago
You can use the dualshock, the analog stick moves your target reticle, but it's no match for aiming with a Move. Without some motion control they're still worth checking out but you may want to rent instead of buy since the experience isn't as good :)

Can't wait for the successor to StarFox Assault, hopefully it's more Star Fox 1 than anything else. I want it three difficulties (where the hardest is old school hard), high end graphics, dark atmosphere, I want my amputated legs replaced by metal ones. All my money.

I love them...and I hope that someone brings it back...at least as an psn or Xbox live title. I just want another star fox game!

Even on Easy Mode, S&P:SS was relatively hard. I remember how much of a pain in the *** it was to beat that samurai chick.
