Analysis of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
It would be so awesome to see Gray Fox in this game! Definitely one of my favorite characters in Metal Gear.
So agree. It would be epic to see his days before MGS.
A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal!
Interesting, never thought of Grey Fox being a clone of Snake.
Gray Fox is not a clone.
This is awesome..well made video :) I love the ideas
Thanks a lot! :)
Well I'm pretty convinced...
i dont know it seems very inordinate theory to play as Fox but has some basis ..i would like to see the character from FOX engine demo..it looks like they have done work on him as model and also he could be gray fox
Some points are really clutching at anything they can get to even when it doesn't make sense ( Ishmael being voiced by Keifer was clearly Kojima putting it in as a tease ). In all, a good little video, which may well ruin the entirety of the game hah.
So this guy 'acts' like Portable Ops doesn't exist. (no mention of NULL at all) He's like, Gray Fox is missing his eye, but NULL (Gray Fox) has both eyes. BTW. Parts of PO story is in the MGS4 database. <--- inb4 "It's not canon" I always thought in MGSV you would get to play as Solidus or Liquid. I know, it's a longshot :)
@Z501 - Ok so Null met Big Boss before in Portable Ops... what's the big deal concerning the video & MPO? I didn't say Gray Fox always had his right eye missing, otherwise it would contradict with the eye-patch/scope theory... If he copied Big Boss' appearance, than the eye patch would be there as a fake and not because he truly lost his eye (back then that is), but something could truly happen to his eye later in the game... Maybe during the battle against Solid Snake himself...
What if the whole game, not just the hospital, is a dream. The whole thing was useleass and the end. Perfect! It would actually be great because it would mean that no real story was dragged on.
@python - That's the part of the video i don't get. What's the relevance of showing Gray Fox (ps1) missing an eye if you're trying to prove it's 'fake' (mgsv) anyway? Whats the point? "He's not really missing an eye" - "But HERE he is missing an eye". Clarification?
No one knows for sure, those are separate theories. It could be that Gray Fox had a damaged eye but the sorta' "advanced" eye-patch helped his eye somehow to still see some things, after all in MGS1 his eye was white and not lost entirely... It could also be that later in the game, their enemies discover that he truly wasn't Big Boss, and they do something to his eye with vengeance for trying to fool them. No one can know for sure, what I know for sure is that there are too many coincidences.
Interesting theory. You cannot deny that eye color difference. Big Boss in fact does have big blue eyes so this is interesting. Also that cigar he is smoking in that same part in the MGSV trailer is an electronic cigar so that also adds intrigue. Maybe Gray Fox isnt a true smoker and is using the electronic cigar just for impersonating Big Boss. Hmmmm this wouldnt surprise me at all considering Kojima loves to put red herrings in his trailers and mislead the hell out of us.
This is part of the reason I love MGS. Great vid
There's another video out there saying it's decoy octopus, but that guys voice drifts off every now and then and you fall asleep.
im not having any of the BS , yeh it could be gray fox in the bandages that would be really class, but the other parts like the protagonist having a ponytail an the naked snake in mgs 3 not having one ,................. erm its 20 years later , and a while after hes been in the coma so whos not to say he hasnt grown his hair, plus we wont play as him , because kojima stated that you would only play as big boss , no one else, its a game about him
